Leaving Lansing

Tomorrow, early, we will get the opportunity to drive 12+ hours and still not be at our new home.

Today was a great if not horribly sad day. Saying goodbye to the parents was exceptionally sad, but I am so happy that they were able to come up and help us load the truck, it was so nice of them.

Also, much thanks to Ray, Matt and Jake. You were all super helpful and I am so happy that we have such great friends. I am going to miss having so many people to rely on.

Things that I am not going to miss:
The South Lansing Meijer--my mom had her first and hopefully last experience there and it was as glorious as ever.
The people upstairs--we will soon be the people upstairs and I promise that I will not do step aerobics at 5:30am.
Our TV being in a different time zone than us--we will finally catch up to dish network or fall back to three weeks ago, or whatever.

Things that I will totally miss:
Great friends and being close to our families
Oberon on draft
Knowing where everything is
Leo's Cheese Bread

One-ish Month Out

This week was pretty stressful work wise, but it seems like things are going to work out as best as they can. I told my boss on Friday that I was leaving.

Saturday, was Jeffrey's grad party; it was a lot of fun but crazy to think that Jeffrey is all grown up. I told most of my extended family that we were moving to Panama City.

Brian has most of his books now; has his fancy, embroidered lab coats (with Brian Thomas, R.N. Anesthesia), no idea how those are supposed to stay white. Now we just have to take a cast of his ear to create the super sonic stethoscope things.
